Progress on securing our distribution against supply chain attacks: The Debian testing/trixie release on amd64 is now reproducible for over 95%, and counting. You can use the new debian-repro-status package to query the reproducibility status of your installed Debian packages. See https://reproduce.debian.net/ #debian #reproducible-builds

Future of OSU Open Source Lab in Jeopardy: a recent change in funding for the Oregon State University College of Engineering (CoE), which strongly supported the project, makes OSL's current funding model no longer sustainable. Currently the OSL provides infrastructure hosting for Debian and many other Free Software projects, and virtual machines for x86, aarch64 and ppc64le used for CI. If you are in position to make funds available, contact the address you can find in the call for help from the director of OSL https://osuosl.org/blog/osl-future/
